Baptizing Point- This is the area at the foot of Buzzard Neck Rd. near Creeds. In the old days some of the local churches would baptize their converts there. Floyd Taylor told me about it and I think he said he was baptized there himself.

Dauge's Bridge- According to an article in the Va. Beach Beacon March 29/09 this may be the same as the current Dozier's Bridge on Princess Anne Rd. between Seaboard Rd. and Holland (formerly Holland Swamp) Rd.

Devil's Elbow Swamp- Per the Beacon article of March 29/09 it theorizes that this was also Dozier's Bridge but I wonder where Elbow Rd. got it's name and if this might be the place in question.

Stowe Road- If anyone can tell me the origin of this name I'd appreciate it. While researching the property for a survey my uncle said he found the name "Swindell lane" or something like it. He said something about horses being raced there in the old days and wondered if the word "swindle" might have have been the original name.
